INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIGHTING DESIGNERS

 The design of the Gateway Arch Museum in St. Louis, MO USA with lighting design by Tillotson Design Associates, took home an IALD Award of Excellence. The panel of judges recognized JCDA’s ceiling design with integrated lighting as the highlight of the design. Tillotson Design Associates achieved JCDA’s desire for tuned lighting that would seamlessly mediate the 252’ transition between the entry at ground level and the Museum Arrivals Hall as it descends to the main museum galleries 23’ below.

The IALD International Lighting Design Awards program is the longest-running international awards program recognizing excellence in architectural lighting design. The program honors lighting design that reaches new heights, moves beyond the ordinary and represents excellence in aesthetic and technical design achievement.
